During our 2025 program, the participants played games against local junior high teams (T-Birds Baseball, Klever Baseball) and a high-school team (Claremont High School). Through sharing both baseball techniques and values, they enjoyed a stimulating learning time beyond just playing baseball.

 

In San Diego’s Serra Mesa neighborhood, we held a “baseball clinic” where participants taught approximately 20 local San Diego children Japanese-style baseball. Despite being in a new environment and facing language barriers, the participants made various efforts and received many positive feedbacks from the local children. For the participants themselves, it was not only a chance to learn the perspective of an instructor, but also an opportunity to build confidence by accomplishing a goal even in a new environment.
